Over the past year, we have emphasized a maintenance kind of ministry. This year I am shifting gears; moving out of first into second gear, which is going to require a considerable increase in energy and commitment! I want to ask you to join me in this increase of effort.
Several things need our attention. First, we will begin a more intentional internal ministry. Visitation/outreach are going to be prioritized by the Ministry Staff and the Deacon Body. You will hear more about this as we move forward. The programs we will utilize are excellent choices for Bells FBC!
Some of our members are already trained in the use of these ministries and we will see an increase in people reached as a result! Second, we will give attention to an external emphasis in ministry to reach prospects for the people in our natural ministry area. Many of you have family, friends, neighbors, students, and co-workers who are not connected to the Bells family! That will also change as we have a broader vision that the Lord will impress on our hearts moving forward!
Get on board! Great things ahead in 2019!!! I will discuss these things in detail with the Deacon Body, Sunday, Jan. 6th.
Remember that we will not have a Wednesday service on Jan. 2nd. Please have a prayer time in your home that day!
Thank you for your prayerful support for me on my shoulder surgery. I’m doing better and really looking forward to getting back in the pulpit! We will observe the Lord’s Supper, Sunday morning, Jan. 6th. That night we will have Fellowship and Monthly Business Meeting. Exciting things at church!!! Aren’t you glad to be part of the Family of God at Bells?!!!
