Thanks for the eight people who joined together for prayer time this morning! Each first Sunday we will be joining in the ‘Upper Room’ for this prayer emphasis for the future of our fellowship! We look forward to seeing this grow.
Once more, Sunday is Back to Church Sunday! You have been inviting, calling, visiting folks and praying for them for this time together! Another push throughout this week and the Lord will reward your efforts!
Continue praying for your Search Committee as they move forward seeking the man of God for our Church. Praying for wisdom and discernment is appropriate for them every day. Not only should we pray for them, but for everyone serving in leadership for the Church.
Each of us has issues we face day to day. Our prayers for one another is so very necessary and helpful. The Bible speaks clearly about the effectiveness of fervent prayer: “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
The conditions for praying are clear: fervent… unrelenting, faithful, heartfelt praying; of a righteous man… our hearts should be clean before the Lord. If we expect our prayers to touch the heart of God in Heaven, we must be willing to be a praying people of which Heaven is not surprised to hear from us!!!
Can you imagine your prayers getting to Heaven and someone say, ‘Who is that?!’
Frequent prayer should make our voices ‘at home’ in Heaven, not a surprising or unexpected voice! So, we will cleanse our hearts and lift our voice to God!
