Wonderful worship again this Sunday! May I make a sincere comment? You are as attentive to the preaching time as any church I know! Your willingness to listen intently to the message is a great encouragement to any Pastor, but specifically to me!
Following up on our 8:30 Sunday prayer time; since only a handful are coming to the Pastor’s Study each Sunday, we agreed that for the time being we would meet on the first Sunday at 8:30 a.m., this time in the Upper Room. Please commit to being a prayer participant for the Leadership Team’s ministry. There is much more to pray about, but praying for the direction of the fellowship is something we simply cannot overlook!
We had children’s classes available this Sunday with teachers prepared to lovingly teach our children. Problem: 2nd-3rd, 4th-5th grade children were nowhere to be found!!!
Everyone knows someone who has children of these ages. The children need to be in a Bible Study class. Let’s go get them and bring them in! ‘Bring the wandering ones to Jesus!’
Continue praying for your Search Committee. Theirs is an enormous task. They have been through over 100 resumes focused on finding someone who can ably fill the ministry of Pastor for our church. Further, they are under a mandate to do this as a matter of the Lord’s will.
Sunday, September 9th is Back to Church Sunday! Our classes will be contacting church families to ‘get them back’ and we’re all inviting others to bring family to be with us on the Lord’s Day. Men will have an apron contest (!) as well as serving the meal and doing clean-up! Great day coming!
