Thankful to be back with Bells FBC yesterday! Thanks, Tom Duffey, for doing an excellent job filling in as worship leader! As usual, Sunday School was a blessing, participating with people who study and prepare as well as engaging in discussion about the Word of God.
Our attendance was a slightly down Summer Sunday, but school will bring everyone back from vacations and weekend trips before long.
Each of us needs to consider prayerfully the leadership roles which will be necessary to fulfill the Church’s ministry throughout this new church year. Our Nominating Committee has distributed a list of opportunities by which we may exercise our spiritual gifts as led by the Holy Spirit.
For this reason, each one should enter into prayerful consideration about your places of service in this upcoming ministry season. As we shared Sunday, if there is a ministry in which you feel led to serve which is not on the list, the church will certainly pray with you about fulfilling that calling!
There is a great need for outreach in the Bells community. People need Jesus Christ. While the Lord is directing the Search Committee to your new Pastor, we must still be actively seeking the lost!
I want to encourage our Missions groups to consider ways and times to train and invigorate our fellowship to share the Gospel of Christ! God will equip us and enable us to do this most important work. Very literally, the souls of men and women, boys and girls are at stake!
