Have you been watching the news recently? If so, you see that this world is living in the dark. It is not just happening on the other side of the world. The country we live in has gone astray. It grieves me to see sin celebrated. In the past couple months, Bruce Jenner has been the talk of all social media sites, television stations, magazines, and newspaper. A man, a father, and a grandfather has decided he no longer wants to be who God made him to be. He wants to be called Caitlyn. How does our country react? Our country praises Bruce Jenner for his “boldness” and his “courage.” In fact, ESPN, which is a sports network, is honoring Bruce Jenner with an award honoring his courage. He beat out Lauryn Hill a 19 year old college basketball player that fought very hard against brain cancer, and Noah Galloway, who is a double amputee who fought for our country, and now runs marathons. Instead of honoring those in the sports world, ESPN wants to honor a confused man.

As I scroll through Facebook, I see a number of posts from people reacting to the Bruce Jenner story. There are Christians who are attempting to say that what is going on is wrong and sinful, but they are drowned out by the left side and other “Christians” who say we need to love and accept.

How are we to respond to the sin in the world? We are to love, yes, but that does not mean we are to condone the sinful acts. We should love those in sin enough to let them know they are in sin, and that God is a Righteous, Holy, Just God that must condemn sin. We, if we truly love those in sin, should share the Gospel. I have had conversations with many that feel we need to accept as a way to show love. They are missing the opportunity to truly love the person in sin, because they are failing to share the Good News of Jesus paying the price for our sins, so we are free from the bondage, and can live for Christ.

Our country is becoming more and more accepting of sin. We, as Christians, are becoming the minority. It is not okay to sit by and accept what is happening as what is supposed to happen. He have been entrusted with a message that saves, we have been commissioned by Jesus Christ to go out and make disciples. Let us have compassion for those in sin by sharing the Gospel, not compromising our beliefs.
