Each of us has our own memory or experience to remind us of why Fathers Day has such a significant impact. Remembering a Dad who has already gone to be with the Lord has a particularly tender effect on us. If your Dad is still with you, your ability or opportunity to show appreciation is a current blessing! I hope you took that opportunity to tell Dad how much you love and appreciate him!

Our fellowship in Christ is a powerful asset when it comes to being the Body of Christ. Fellowship has a wonderful impact on the family of God. Much as we hold important and treasure the fellowship with our own flesh and blood, we also hold important and treasure the fellowship that has been bought by the blood! Jesus gave Himself for His Bride, Whose Bride we are as His Church!

It is the natural expectation of Christ that His Body serve in unity. Oneness is the nature of the Godhead and it is the design of the Godhead for the Body to be as one! Many times we focus on a phrase ‘unity in diversity’, but that is not a phrase that is consistent with the nature of God. We often say that ‘we can disagree without being disagreeable.’

Additionally, we attribute that phrase as representing some type of spiritual character. However, God’s diversity is in His broad nature and His capabilities, not in His disagreement with Himself! The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit have no discord whatsoever!

If we are going to serve the Lord as a faithful Body of Christ, we must put aside selfish inclinations, self-satisfying goals, or self-proposing efforts. Even as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are One, the Scripture further helps us understand that They also ‘agree in One!’

This is the wise approach of the Church! Paul the Apostle told us in Ephesians 5:15-17 – See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

We cannot be in agreement if some do not understand what the will of the Lord is! Therefore, we must be prayerful that each of us understands the Lord’s Will and function in agreement with one another, even as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are in agreement!

“Nothing Routine in Twenty Nineteen!”

I remain grateful to serve with you!
