The rain has come back! Thought we had enough in March, but the April showers that bring May flowers has certainly been on target. Our farmers have begun planting some fields, but they will be on hold for a few days with this turn in the weather. Beyond the rain, we’re experiencing temperatures that feel more like winter again! 30’s early Monday!!!

Well, thanks to the team which spent time with our children on Sunday for the Easter Egg hunt, which took place inside the church due to the planned location having a bit too much water in the fields! Thanks, Tammy Baird and team for your leadership in blessing our children!!!

Thanks, also, Bro. Roger Kirkland and Amy Mayfield as well as the several children who portrayed the Triumphal Entry in our Morning Worship! Our music Sunday morning was inspirational and encouraging as we focused in our message on Palm Sunday about Welcoming the King! The most important welcome Jesus can receive is the welcome of Jesus into our hearts!!!

Next Sunday morning at 7 a.m., the Community Easter Service will take place at First Christian Church, Bells. Feel free to attend.

We are considering several options for ministry that will focus on families and family ministry. Please be in prayer as to how the Lord wants us to reach out and ‘bring them in!’

Several families were out today on trips, and others were out due to health issues, including the rain! Let’s ‘gird up our loins” and join together this Easter Sunday to celebrate the most remarkable thing that has every happened since the world began.

Remember in prayer the family of Mrs. Bess Cox who passed away this Friday evening. Her visitation will be at Bells Funeral Home, and the graveside service will take place at Walnut Hill Baptist Church.

This Wednesday we will be studying the prophet Malachi, and on Sunday morning we will be rejoicing about the Resurrection of Jesus Christ!!!

“Nothing Routine in Twenty Nineteen!”

I remain grateful to serve with you!
