So many things are happening in our community! Schools are getting back into full swing and the hard work is starting again! Crops are growing and will soon be available to harvest after a great deal of hard work! For anyone working in the heat, whether in construction, road work, or in a hot factory setting, the hard work is ongoing!
Preparation for doing the work of the Lord is enjoyable, but sometimes involves hard work in understanding, interpretation, discernment, imparting, and application of all the different things to study and share. It’s not a matter of perspiration as all the others may be, but it is certainly a matter of inspiration!
We need the Lord, no matter what kind of hard work we may be doing. He wants to direct us in the ways we should go. He wants to direct our thoughts and our actions. Whether we are involved in plowing a straight row, laying a smooth pavement, planting properly spaced seeds, creating parts in a factory, counting funds accurately, typing a mistake free paper or building a sermon, we need the Lord’s accompaniment!
Our Church needs God’s direction as we attempt to do ‘hard work’ for Him. It’s not always ‘easy going’ to do Kingdom work. Some of you have felt led to be an obedient servant of one kind or another in the upcoming Church year. It may require ‘hard work’ to do the job well.
Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might. Solomon gave this wise counsel to God’s people in Ecclesiastes 9:10. Here we are told to make the work we do of utmost importance! Do it with your strength, your might.
Sometimes we don’t get a second opportunity to do something, therefore we must do our best to do it right the first time. Whatever position the Lord selects you for at this Church, do your very best!
Make this new year count for the Kingdom!
Happy to Minister alongside you!
